Our Guarantee – Pay Nothing Until You Win

Chinook Law guarantees that if no funds are recovered at the end of your case, you will pay nothing to Chinook Law.

This guarantee is made despite the reality that significant time, expenses and manpower may be incurred by us while working on our clients’ claims that may never be recovered if we fail to recover funds for them. By doing this, it is our intention to put our clients’ minds at ease so that they may focus on their recovery while we handle their claim.

We believe that those who suffered injuries from car accidents should not be forced to endure the added stress of paying for expensive legal representation upfront to help them obtain the financial compensation they deserve. Because of this, Chinook Law charge fees for our legal services on a contingency basis.

Legal Fees

Total Legal Fees = Contingency % + Disbursements + Taxes

  • Contingency % – Instead of paying for legal services by the hour or a pre-determined amount for specific services as is the norm in the legal industry, Chinook Law charges a percentage of the final net settlement. In this way, you pay nothing until you win and our fees are tied to our performance.
  • Disbursements – We do not charge our legal fees until you receive your settlement, however, we will be regularly paying for expenditures during the lifecycle of your claim. During settlement negotiations, we will make all efforts to recover these expenses from the at fault party’s insurance company as part of your settlement.
  • Taxes – We are obligated by law to charge G.S.T. on certain of our expenses as well as pass through G.S.T. charged by our vendors. This G.S.T. is eventually paid to the Canada Revenue Agency.
